Treatment Approach
Providers at Arise use contemporary cognitive behavioral therapies and trauma-informed practices. We use treatment approaches that have strong scientific support behind them and integrate scholarly knowledge about psychology, therapy, and mental health topics in the work we do.
If you decide to pursue care with us, you can expect to build an open and collaborative therapeutic relationship with your therapist. We believe that the relationship between therapist and client is key to learning to build and maintain healthy relationships.
We help our clients grow and heal in a myriad of ways. These can include:
- Processing painful experiences
- Developing new relationships with emotions and learning to relate to emotions as helpful sources of information
- Noticing more about your habitual patterns that keep you feeling stuck
- Building new resources by learning and strengthening skills and practicing new skills and behaviors both in and between sessions to bring you closer to your goals and values
We will begin to identify your specific therapy goals together during your first session with us, and we will continue to assess progress towards goals and update them throughout the course of therapy.
Session
Information
All therapy appointments at Arise are conducted via telehealth using a secure, HIPAA compliant, virtual platform.
Intake Evaluation: Your first visit with us will be an assessment-focused session. Our primary goals are to get to know more about you and what you’re wanting help with as well as to determine fit within our areas of expertise. We will ask lots of questions during this appointment to help inform diagnosis and treatment approach. We will also begin to identify therapy goals.
Individual Therapy: Therapy sessions with your primary treatment provider are conducted on a regular basis to help you achieve therapy goals using evidence-based treatment practices.
Client Consultation: We offer consultation services for clients who may be engaged in therapy elsewhere or who are thinking about making changes or additions to their mental health plan. We can provide a limited number of sessions for this purpose focused on brief assessment, review of treatment to date, and provision of treatment recommendations for those who would benefit from specialized guidance in treatment planning. Please specify that you are interested in consultation services when contacting us via our “Contact Us” page.
Couples Therapy: Some providers at Arise work with couples. We specialize in teaching couples effective communication skills and strategies for dealing with difficult emotions in the context of interpersonal relationships. Feel free to inquire about available couples therapy services via our “Contact Us” page.
